Leaves, other plant material, insects, and fish are found in Micoene lake deposits near Clarkia, Idaho. DNA, waxes and oils have been recoved from leaves found in the deposit. Here's a couple of links:

There is an abundance of fossil leaves but the strata is very delicate. As it dries, it tends to curl and break.The first images illustrates this problem.



Within the specimen are pine needles, leaves, and what appears to be a seed.
