In Maryland, at the eastern end of Interstate 70, there is a sign listing Frederick, MD, Denver, CO, St. Louis, MO, and Cove Fort UT with the respective mileage to each location. We've always wondered what the signage said at the other end of I70.
Cove Fort, built in the 1860s, was a way station and fortification to protect travelers between Salt Lake City and St. George. Tours are available.
We were disappointed. There was no mention of Baltimore. Note the difference between the mileage discrepancy. If you add the two mileages to Denver, you get 2207, not 2200:
