Berries: I've used black raspberries and blueberries.


Cook berries with small amount of water. Include under ripe and even green fruit.

Mash and drain the juice through a cloth.

Measure 1 cup of sugar for each cup of berry juice.

Bring juice to a rapid boil. Add sugar and mix until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and pour into sterile jars. Cap. You may want to process the jars but I haven't and not had any problems.

If it jells, you have WONDERFUL jelly. If it doesn't, you have pancake syrup.
